Fun in Kentucky

We're back and we all had a blast!! It was a long drive, but well worth it.

My cousin and best friend moved there from Mi several years ago...and we do our best to try to see each other as much as possible still.

One of the highlights for the kids was visiting a "Haunted Hospital"...its a deserted hospital that is well known in the area for being haunted. I'll make another post soon with lots of details about it. Oh, and some of my pics from inside had orbs in them!! (which are supposedly ghosts)

We went on a 3 mile hike along an old buffalo/civil war trail.

We walked across a 1 mile bridge that connects Ohio and Kentucky....over the Ohio river.

We played at parks....lots of them.

We visited an OLD cemetery which holds old relatives of Daniel Boone, this was their hometown, and we brought them flowers.

We went rock climbing (the boys anyway) and collected limestone for my pond. :)

We picnicked and fished on the Ohio River.

We also had cookouts, went shopping, visited Coffee Shops and bookstores, visited the libraries and a local museum wall with historical paintings, played on the trampoline, went to the movies, visited new restaurants...we did it ALL...It was such a blast...the little ones cried when it was time for us to go. :(

I love Kentucky. I went camping in the Appalachian mountains during college and it was one of the best weeks of my life. I love the picture of the kids, they are so old!!!!! I just had my kids four years ago - they are 15, 12 and 9. How did that happen? ha ha. I LOVED the purse too. It wasn't in this post, but somewhere down there. I LOVE purses. We should talk more about them. BarbieDarbie
